Pickler grew up in a difficult family. At the age of two her mother fled to avoid an abusive situation. Pickler was brought back to her mother in 1995 after she took over custody. However, it was not an enjoyable time for her. Pickler, then 12, was returned to her parents by the court. They raised her until she turned an adult. Pickler was too busy raising her children in the absence of their parents. She revealed that she didn't have time to learn and she began to understand how to make a living as a homemaker at a young age. Pickler was the cheerleader at middle school and her high school.
